While the prayer can still be completed
After the five-minute grace period, the prayer is outstanding. It remains so after its usual window closes: dismissing a notification or waiting for the next prayer does not clear it.
At the next Fajr
prayd closes the previous Islamic day. Any unresolved prayers stop enforcing and move to the private make-up record. The phone is no longer shielded for yesterday's prayer.
This next-Fajr boundary is a safety rule. A single unresolved prayer can never create a permanent lock.
Pauses are not missed prayers
Prayers covered by a menstruation, travel or illness pause are neutral. They do not raise a shield, break a streak or count against completion.
